HYBE India announced a 15-act lineup on the 16th for Weverse Con Festival India (WeCon Fest India), headlined by TXT, ENHYPEN and LE SSERAFIM. The festival runs March 27 and 28 in New Delhi, and it is the first time Weverse Con Festival has been held outside Korea.

The Korea-based festival is not going anywhere. HYBE says the annual Seoul-area event will continue separately from the India edition.

Who is on the bill

HYBE Music Group acts lead the poster. TXT, ENHYPEN and LE SSERAFIM, all groups with world tours behind them, are joined by Lee Hyun and Bumjoo, who will take the stage in India for the first time. KATSEYE's Lara, who is of Indian heritage, and singer-songwriter Rhea Raj are also on the list. Raj joined HYBE and Republic Records last month and is expected to bring a distinctive voice to the lineup.

The solo slots are where the lineup gets interesting. Eric Nam, who recently released his fourth full-length album, Confessions of a Lonely Heart, will give local fans a more reflective set. Hwasa has been working festival stages in Australia and Brazil lately, so a strong live showing is the expectation in Delhi. Dayoung of WJSN, who made her solo move with the single "body" last year, rounds out the Korean side.

India's own scene is represented too. Rapper King and emerging singer-songwriter Gini are among the local acts appearing at a Weverse Con lineup for the first time.

What HYBE says it is aiming for

A HYBE India representative said the lineup brings together leading musicians from both countries' pop scenes. The company plans to "maximize HYBE's global concert planning and production capabilities" so the two countries' music can mix and fans can generate "energy like never before."

The pairing of K-pop acts with Indian artists on one bill, rather than a straight export of the Korean festival, looks like the real experiment here.
