KATSEYE Drop Third Mini Album 'WILD' with Ed Sheeran and Bang Si-hyuk on Production
KATSEYE released their third mini album, 'WILD', on August 14, featuring production from HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk and pop star Ed Sheeran. The five-track project is led by the title track 'Hootie Frutti', and the group celebrated the release with a live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon just hours before the drop.

KATSEYE kicked off their 'WILD' era with a live performance of 'Animal' on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 13, arriving on NBC the night before their album landed, the kind of scheduling that signals real label confidence in a crossover moment.
The HYBE-Geffen Records girl group released their third mini album, WILD, at midnight on August 14 KST. The project is built around a theme of instinct and freedom, and the five tracks lean into that energy without apology.
The title track 'Hootie Frutti' is the centerpiece: a full-bodied pop production anchored by heavy drums, the sort of track that prioritizes feel over delicacy. Two pre-release singles, 'PINKY UP' and 'Animal', are included on the full tracklist alongside two additional album cuts.
The producer lineup is what makes WILD especially notable. HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk and global pop star Ed Sheeran both contributed to the record, joined by producers Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, a credits page that reads more like a major Western pop release than a typical K-pop comeback. Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin have accumulated credits across some of the biggest mainstream pop and rock tracks of the past few years, so the combination suggests the album was built with a wide commercial target in mind.
As a Korean-American co-production between HYBE and Geffen, KATSEYE occupy a genuinely unusual space in the current pop landscape, and WILD sounds like the group leaning further into that hybrid identity rather than softening it for either market.
