KATSEYE Lands Two Songs in the UK Top 30 for a Second Straight Week
KATSEYE's EP WILD continues to make waves across the Atlantic, with 'Animal' and 'Hootie Frutti' both charting in the UK Official Singles Chart Top 30 for a second consecutive week. The HYBE and Geffen Records group also keeps WILD in the albums chart Top 30, while BTS's fifth album Arirang logs its 23rd straight week on the same chart.

KATSEYE pulled off something genuinely hard to do on the UK Official Singles Chart this week: two songs in the Top 30 at the same time, for the second week running.
According to the chart dated August 26 to September 3, pre-release track Animal held at #17 on the Official Singles Top 100, its fifth consecutive week on the chart. Title track Hootie Frutti followed at #25, down nine places from its debut at #16 the previous week but still comfortably inside the Top 30 for a second straight week. Their EP WILD rounded out the sweep by landing at #24 on the Official Albums Chart Top 100.
What makes the WILD rollout stand out
The simultaneous dual chart placement is a clean measure of how well the WILD campaign has been staged. Animal had already been building chart momentum for five weeks before Hootie Frutti arrived as the title track, which meant the album's debut week in the UK had two active singles pulling at once. The rollout also benefited from Hootie Frutti's music video generating significant attention on its own, the visually striking clip drew commentary well beyond the group's existing fanbase.

WILD is framed as an exploration of instinct and freedom, the kind of album where KATSEYE lean into a more self-assured, less polished-pop energy than their earlier releases. The five-track project includes Pinky Up (another pre-release), the mature-sounding Bel Air, and That Way, which takes on the bittersweet texture of a breakup without softening the edges. It's a cohesive statement for a group that debuted through a high-profile reality competition and has been methodically expanding its sound ever since.
The UK chart run follows WILD debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 in the United States on August 22, the group's first time topping that chart, making this a genuinely transatlantic moment for KATSEYE.
The rest of the chart picture
Elsewhere on the UK charts, Golden by the fictional group Huntrix from the Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters held at #52 on the Singles Top 100. That track has now charted for 62 consecutive weeks, a remarkable run for a song tied to an animated feature.

BTS's fifth studio album Arirang continued its own remarkable chart life, sitting at #92 on the UK Official Albums Chart for its 23rd straight week. The album previously reached #1 on that chart, and its staying power reflects the sustained attention surrounding the group's ongoing world tour.
At the top of the albums chart this week, British singer-songwriter Paul Heaton claimed #1 with his new record Jenius. Heaton is best known as a member of The Housemartins and The Beautiful South. On the singles side, Olivia Dean and Sam Fender held onto the top spot with their collaboration Rein Me In for another week.
