KATSEYE landed the biggest chart week of their career on August 21, when their third EP WILD debuted at No. 2 on the UK Official Albums Chart, obliterating their previous personal best of No. 55 set by last year's Beautiful Chaos. The HYBE and Geffen Records girl group didn't stop at the albums chart: in the same week, they placed three songs simultaneously in the UK Official Singles Top 100, a feat that underlines just how quickly their UK audience has grown.

On the singles side, pre-release track "Animal" climbed four spots to No. 12, setting a new personal best on that chart. Title track "Hootie Frutti" entered at No. 16 on its debut week, and album cut "Bel Air" rounded out the trio at No. 97. "Hootie Frutti" is the kind of pop production you'd expect to anchor a major campaign: it's all propulsion and payoff, and the chart entry suggests UK listeners agreed.

The week's results pushed a remarkable cumulative total. Earlier this year, KATSEYE had already placed "Internet Girl" (No. 24 in January), "Pinky Up" (No. 14 in April), and the LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT collaboration "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" (No. 22 in June) into the UK Top 40. Adding "Animal" and "Hootie Frutti" brings their 2026 tally to five UK Top 40 singles in a single calendar year, a milestone no girl group has achieved since Little Mix in 2021.

Across their career, KATSEYE have now placed a total of nine songs in the UK Official Singles Top 100: solo entries include "Nali" (No. 52), "Gabriela" (No. 38), "Internet Girl" (No. 24), "Pinky Up" (No. 14), "Touch" (No. 82), "Animal," "Hootie Frutti," and "Bel Air," with "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" as a collaborative credit.

WILD, released on the 14th, was produced with a notable roster of collaborators. HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk and pop songwriter Ed Sheeran contributed to the record alongside producers Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, giving the EP a transatlantic commercial polish that the UK chart results seem to validate.

The group, composed of members Yoonchae, Sofia, Daniela, Lara, and Megan, will take the momentum into live shows next month, with UK dates on The WILDWORLD Tour scheduled for London and Manchester.

Elsewhere on the UK charts, BTS's fifth studio album ARIRANG held at No. 68 on the Albums Chart for its 22nd consecutive week of entries, a steady presence that speaks to the album's long-tail fanbase engagement. On the singles chart, "Golden" from the Netflix K-pop animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters held at No. 46, its 61st week on the chart, a quietly remarkable run for an OST track from a virtual group called Huntrix.

At the top of this week's UK charts, American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers took the Albums Chart No. 1 with her third studio album Lost Weekend, her first-ever solo chart-topper in the UK. British soul-pop artist Olivia Dean's collaboration with Sam Fender, "Rein Me In," held the Singles Chart No. 1 for another week.
