KATSEYE's 'ANIMAL' Debuts at No. 16 on UK Singles Chart: Their Sixth Top 100 Entry

KATSEYE's new single "ANIMAL" entered the UK Official Singles Chart at No. 16 for the week of July 31 to August 6, the group's sixth appearance in the chart's top 100 and their second-highest debut to date, trailing only "Pinky Up," which peaked at No. 14. The result fits a pattern that has taken shape gradually over the past year: each KATSEYE release has charted in the UK, giving the HYBE-Geffen joint venture a degree of sustained British traction that is still relatively uncommon for acts positioned primarily in the global pop space.

"ANIMAL" arrived with some notable outside momentum. Ed Sheeran co-wrote the track, and it appeared in promotional footage for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, placements that likely broadened its reach beyond KATSEYE's established fanbase. On Spotify, the song topped the Top Song Debuts Global chart for the week of July 24 to 26, and landed at No. 2 on the equivalent US chart for the same period.

The group's collaboration with fellow HYBE acts LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, "ICONIC BY MISTAKE," also appeared on this week's UK singles chart at No. 79, its seventh consecutive week in the top 100. That extended run is worth noting: multi-act collaborations within the same label umbrella can often feel like a promotional exercise, but seven straight weeks of UK charting suggests the song found an audience beyond an initial launch push.

Also on the singles chart, "GOLDEN" by the fictional group Huntrix from the Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters held at No. 43, up four places from the previous week. The track has now spent 58 weeks on the UK top 100, an unusually long run that reflects continued viewer engagement with the film's soundtrack.

On the albums chart, BTS's fifth studio album ARIRANG slipped seven places to No. 48, but extended its consecutive-weeks streak to 19. The album previously reached No. 1 on the UK chart, and its continued presence in the top 50 more than four months after release points to the kind of catalog staying power that matters for a label's long-term positioning in a market.

KATSEYE is scheduled to release their third mini-album, WILD, on August 14.
