KATSEYE Scores Another UK Top 20 Week With 'ANIMAL', and BTS Is Rising Too

KATSEYE's latest single 'ANIMAL' landed at No. 18 on the UK Official Singles Chart (Top 100) for the week of August 7–13, sliding two spots from its No. 16 debut the previous week but holding firmly inside the Top 20 for a second straight chart cycle.

The result marks KATSEYE's sixth entry on the UK Official Singles Top 100 overall. The HYBE-Geffen girl group has been building their UK chart presence steadily, with earlier singles including 'Niñi' (No. 52), 'Gabriella' (No. 38), 'Touch' (No. 82), 'Internet Girl' (No. 24), and 'Pinky Up' (No. 14) all making previous appearances. 'ANIMAL' is now comfortably among their best-charting UK singles.

Also on the singles chart, KATSEYE's collaborative track 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE' with fellow HYBE acts LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT came in at No. 85 in its eighth consecutive week on the chart. Counting the collab, KATSEYE now has seven distinct tracks on their UK Official Singles Top 100 record.

'GOLDEN', the standout OST from Netflix's animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, continued its remarkable run with a No. 49 placement. That marks 59 consecutive weeks on the UK singles chart for the fictional girl group Huntrix's breakout song. Over a year of continuous chart presence is a genuinely unusual figure for any OST track, and 'GOLDEN' shows no obvious signs of fading.

On the albums side, BTS's fifth studio album ARIRANG climbed five spots to No. 43, its 20th consecutive week on the UK Official Albums Chart Top 100. The group previously reached No. 1 on that chart three times with the album, and the continued residency well into the album cycle speaks to the kind of sustained listener base that streaming can sustain long after a release's peak.

Elsewhere on the UK charts this week, British soul-pop artist Olivia Dean and singer-songwriter Sam Fender held the No. 1 spot on the singles chart with their collaboration 'Rein Me In', while Ariana Grande's eighth studio album petal topped the albums chart.
