KiiiKiii Are Back: Mini Album 'WhyKiiiKiii' Out Today, 7 Months After 'Delulu Pack'

KiiiKiii released their third mini album, 'WhyKiiiKiii,' today, marking their first comeback since January's 'Delulu Pack.' The six-track project is built around an electronic synth-pop title track with a famously catchy chorus, and its concept plays on the group's own name through a clever Waikiki beach pun.

KiiiKiii are back. The Starship Entertainment group dropped their third mini album, WhyKiiiKiii, on August 10 at 6 p.m. KST, their first release in seven months since the January mini album Delulu Pack.

The album's title pulls double duty: WhyKiiiKiii is a nod to Waikiki, the famous resort district in Honolulu, Hawaii, while simultaneously posing the question "Why KiiiKiii?" The group's answer, naturally, is the album itself, framed as a showcase of what makes KiiiKiii distinctly themselves.

Leading the project is the title track "Pop Off Pop Off," an electronic synth-pop number centered on a chorus built for repeat listens. The production leans into hooky, layered synths, and the track is shaping up to be the kind of song that sticks after a single play.

The full album runs six tracks, rounding out the title track with "Ever2Late!", "Hey Hi," and three additional songs. At seven months between releases, the WhyKiiiKiii era arrives with a little more anticipation than usual for a group that has been building a dedicated fanbase since debuting under Starship.

Fan reactions across social platforms began picking up ahead of the 6 p.m. release window, with listeners particularly curious about how the summery Waikiki concept translates into KiiiKiii's signature sound.
