KISS OF LIFE are keeping their Japan momentum firmly on track. S2 Entertainment confirmed on the 29th that the group will release their second Japanese mini-album, SWEAT -JAPANESE EP-, on September 16.

The six-track record is anchored by a Japanese-language version of 'Sweat,' the song that caught on domestically this summer, and expands from there in a few interesting directions. 'Was It You' is an original new track written specifically for the release, while 'BREAK IT' serves as the ending theme for the TV anime Digimon BitBreak, a placement that gives the group a direct line to a Japanese audience outside the K-pop listening circuit. Rounding out the tracklist is a remix of 'Igloo,' the song that generated a wave of global fan challenges earlier this year.

The group made their Japan debut in November 2025 with TOKYO MISSION START, so SWEAT marks their second full Japanese release in under a year, a pace that signals S2 is serious about building a sustained fanbase there rather than testing the waters.

A big night in Seoul, too

The announcement came just a day after KISS OF LIFE were recognized at home. On the 28th, the group received the Seoul City Council Speaker Award at the 8th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2026 K-EXPO), held at The Grand Lotte Seoul's Crystal Ballroom in Jung-gu, in recognition of their contribution to raising K-pop's global profile.

Accepting the award, the members said, "Thank you so much for this precious award. We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who has helped us shine brighter on stage, and to our Kissys." (Kissy is the group's official fandom name.)

With a fresh award on the shelf and a Japan EP less than three weeks out, it's shaping up to be a busy autumn for KISS OF LIFE.
