ILLIT kicked off the K-pop world's 2026 Chuseok greetings with a line that landed immediately with fans: "Even if you can't see the full moon, we'll be GLLIT's full moon." The group posted the holiday message video through their official channels at noon on the 24th, and the warmth of the line made it one of the most-shared quotes from this year's Chuseok idol round-up.

Chuseok, Korea's major mid-autumn harvest holiday, falls across a four-day weekend this year, and groups from across the industry's biggest agencies took the occasion to check in with their fandoms.

ILLIT: holiday greetings with a comeback built in

ILLIT's message was affectionate, but it also had a clear second purpose. The group told fans they'd be spending part of the holiday preparing for their October comeback and the encore leg of their PRESS START♥ concert tour. The encore shows are scheduled for the 17th and 18th at Inspire Arena in Incheon, and the mini album BREAK EVEN follows on the 26th. "Our families are excited about this comeback too," the group noted, "so we're planning to share good food and talk about the new album together."

It's a neat bit of Chuseok tradition, actually: the holiday is built around gathering with family and sharing a meal, and ILLIT managed to fold in the fan family alongside the real one.

ENHYPEN look ahead to a packed winter schedule

ENHYPEN posted their own Chuseok video at noon on the 24th, reflecting on a year that included their eighth mini album THE SIN : BLISS and the Seoul and Busan dates of their BLOOD SAGA world tour. "Chuseok is a day to share your heart with the people who matter," the group said. "We hope ENGENE spends the holiday in a relaxed and happy way."

The group also signaled what's ahead: a Macau show in October, then a four-dome Japan tour running from December through February, followed by a world tour that will take them through 22 cities across Asia and Europe, totalling 37 shows by March next year.

EVAN reaches his first Chuseok as a half-million seller

Solo artist EVAN (real name Lee Hee-seung) had particular reason to feel good going into the holiday. His debut mini album DEATH OF ME, released on the 7th, crossed 500,000 copies sold and charted on Billboard, Oricon, and Billboard Japan. The title track also entered the UK Official Singles Sales and Singles Download charts.

For his Chuseok wish, EVAN kept it simple: "I want to see my EVERs more often, and up close." He added a hope that fans would eat well and "feel as full and generous as the full moon." He has festival and event appearances lined up in Macau, Bangkok and Ilsan throughout October.

More voices from across the industry

Beyond the headline acts, the Chuseok greetings came in from across the board. MONSTA X dressed in hanbok (traditional Korean formal wear) and reflected on the year: "Having run so hard this year makes this holiday feel all the more meaningful. It's even more special because we have Monbebe with us." Singer-actor Hwang Min-hyun, TOURS, and producer Bumju all shared holiday messages encouraging fans to slow down, eat well, and enjoy time with loved ones.

BABYMONSTER headed into the break fresh off their CHOOM world tour stop at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, using the four days to rest and recharge before their next round of activities.

With groups like ILLIT already treating the holiday as a soft launch for their October schedules, the four-day Chuseok break feels less like a pause and more like a breath before the second half of the year properly kicks off.
