SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan and Joshua are making their first move as a duo. Pledis Entertainment confirmed on the 23rd that the two members have formed a new unit, with their debut mini-album DREAMSCAPE set for release on October 19 at 6 PM KST.

The album takes its name and concept from two distinct meanings of the Korean word for dream: the unconscious fantasies that bloom during sleep, and the ideals a person chases in waking life. Pledis describes the project as a musical exploration of a dreamscape where those two visions collide and intertwine, blurring the boundary between imagination and reality. A symbol motion released alongside the announcement shows the two members' shared initial, J, layered over itself in slow rotation, a quietly effective preview of the unit's aesthetic direction.

A rollout built like a film

The promotional schedule, shared through SEVENTEEN's official social channels at midnight on the 23rd, is structured more like a narrative arc than a standard comeback calendar. Rather than a single teaser cycle, JxJ is rolling out a sequence of named content pieces across nearly four weeks.

The first drop is a diary-format piece called Meet JxJ Diary, arriving on the 25th. That's followed by two more rollout pieces on the 28th and 29th, Daydreamers and Dreamchasers, respectively, whose titles already hint at the album's dual-dream framework.

In October, the pace picks up. DREAMSCAPE: BETWEEN TWELVES arrives on the 5th, with the full tracklist revealed on the 7th. A content piece titled fragment of DREAM follows on the 9th, designed to deepen the album's world before the music is even out. The highlight medley, offering the first real audio preview of the songs, drops on the 14th. Official teasers follow on the 17th and 18th, and then the album and title track music video go live together on the 19th. The promotional image itself, schedule text arranged in a continuous circle, as if rotating endlessly, mirrors the cyclical, dreamlike premise of the record.

The vocal-and-visual pair at the center of SEVENTEEN

Jeonghan and Joshua are two of the most prominent figures in SEVENTEEN's vocal line, known individually for a warmth and precision in their delivery that makes them an instinctively complementary pairing. Within the group, they've long been recognized as a visual centerpiece, what Korean fan communities call a "visual pair", and this unit debut feels like a natural formalization of something fans have been watching develop for years.

Pledis says the two will offer "audiovisual euphoria and an unfamiliar beauty," which is the kind of promise that lands differently when the members behind it have a decade of stage experience between them. What DREAMSCAPE actually sounds like remains to be heard, but the conceptual groundwork suggests something more atmospheric and introspective than SEVENTEEN's full-group output. October 19 is a long-anticipated arrival.
