Lee Min-jung Rejects the Ring Again After a Devastating Confession in Episode 10

Episode 10 of Let's Get Divorced, which aired on the 17th across KBS Drama and GTV, spent most of its running time building toward a reconciliation before pulling it away in the most painful way possible.

After episodes of hurt and misunderstanding, Baek Mi-young (Lee Min-jung) and Ji Won-ho (Kim Ji-seok) finally faced each other honestly. They cried, they kissed, and Won-ho said they had wanted each other more intensely than ever before, as though there had never been a moment of bitterness between them. Mi-young fussed over how hard it must have been for him to be apart from their daughter Dal-rae; Won-ho told her he had known they would find their way back to each other, and asked her to stop hurting herself in the meantime. It was the kind of tender exchange the show had been carefully rationing, and it landed.

The morning after

The following morning, Won-ho made juice for Mi-young and the two of them moved through their apartment like they used to, getting ready for work together, looking after each other in the small ways a long marriage builds up. Won-ho quietly told Kang Kyung-tae (Jung Eui-je) that he had decided not to go through with the divorce. Kyung-tae, rather than supporting him, reacted as though the world had ended and warned that saying anything too soon would be dangerous. Won-ho listened, and delayed telling Mi-young.

When both of them received calls from their respective lawyers about the upcoming court date, Won-ho's response was to wonder aloud whether it made sense to postpone the hearing. Mi-young's disappointment was visible. It is a familiar beat in this show: Won-ho choosing hesitation at exactly the wrong moment. He eventually decided to appear on a variety program he had previously turned down, telling Mi-young he would do anything for their company now, swallowing the part where he meant he was doing it for her.

The proposal that backfired

Later in the episode, Won-ho organized a surprise event for Mi-young. After performing a song for her, he knelt and reached out his hand, telling her he wanted to keep going forward together. Mi-young's answer was the same as it has been: "I'm getting divorced."

What she said next reframed everything. She told him she cannot carry his child, that since giving birth to Dal-rae her body had changed and she could not give him another. Won-ho said it didn't matter, that she didn't owe him anything. She left anyway. When Won-ho later found out that Ryu Mi-soon (Moon Hee-kyung) had given Mi-young herbal medicine and told her to have another child for him, he broke down completely.

The truth about Kang Kyung-tae

Song A-ri (Wang Bit-na), who had been suspicious of Kyung-tae for some time, finally brought her concerns to Won-ho. What followed confirmed what the show had been hinting at: Kyung-tae was the one who had switched out the herbal medicine, causing Mi-young's miscarriage years earlier. Won-ho had assumed Kyung-tae's obsessive involvement in their lives came from feelings for Mi-young. The truth was different. Kyung-tae's fixation was on Won-ho himself.

In a separate thread, Calvin (Lee Hyun-jin) reached Kyung-tae's home and rescued Ahn Hee-ju (Lee Jin-i), who had been held there against her will. With the full picture of Kyung-tae's actions now in frame, the next episode has considerably higher stakes than a simple divorce proceeding.
