Lisa Designed a Limited-Edition PS5 DualSense Controller Dropping October 30

BLACKPINK's Lisa worked directly with Sony Interactive Entertainment from the earliest stage of development on a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller, and the result ships October 30. Pre-orders open through official retailers on the 2nd.

The collaboration goes beyond a name on the packaging. Lisa was involved in the design process from the concept phase, embedding her personal aesthetic into the hardware at multiple points. The controller uses a chroma pearl colorway she selected herself, and the touchpad features motifs drawn from her stage identity: a bang hairstyle silhouette, eye and star shapes, and her "LL" initials.

"Working on this collection with PlayStation was genuinely exciting," Lisa said in a statement. "I spend a lot of time thinking about how I look and move on stage, so creating something fans can experience through gaming felt like a fresh kind of challenge."

A second PlayStation chapter

This is Lisa's second project with PlayStation, following her appearance in a global PS5 campaign last year. That earlier partnership was a more conventional celebrity endorsement; this one hands her creative credit over a physical product, which is a meaningfully different arrangement.

Sony also confirmed that Lisa's new mini-album, Press Play, is slated for release in October, making it a notably busy month for the artist. Two major consumer launches in the same four-week window is a deliberate sequencing move, and the controller's name landing so close to the album title is unlikely to be accidental.
