12 Years In, Solar Is Still the Reason MAMAMOO's World Tour Works
MAMAMOO's 4WARD world tour has sold out venues across Asia, North America, and Australia. At the center of it all is Solar, whose 12-year leadership is earning fresh recognition from fans worldwide.

MAMAMOO's Solar stepped into a rehearsal clip posted on the group's official channel recently and did what she apparently always does: moved through the formation, flagged the spacing, corrected the detail, and kept going. Fans who caught the footage recognized the dynamic immediately. The Korean fandom shorthand 믿듣맘무 (roughly, "MAMAMOO, trusted listening") exists for a reason, and moments like that are it.
The group (Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa) launched the MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR [4WARD] in Seoul back in June, and the name carries a deliberate double meaning: the number 4 for the four members, folded into "forward," signaling a group that spent years building individual solo careers now choosing to move together again. Eighteen cities across three continents are on the itinerary, and the pacing has been relentless.

What the tour has looked like so far
The Asian leg set the tone early. Shows in Kaohsiung, Macau, and Manila sold out, as did seven North American dates spanning New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Melbourne wrapped successfully just ahead of the article's publication, adding Australia to a run that has consistently tested the group's ticket power and found it intact.
On stage, Solar's vocal control and presence have been the performance anchor. As the group's leader for over a decade, she has always carried a particular kind of responsibility in MAMAMOO's live shows: not just hitting her own parts, but reading the room and pulling the other three into the best version of what the night can be. The 4WARD shows, by fan accounts and performance footage circulating online, have that quality in full.
What comes next
With Melbourne done, the tour pushes on to Sydney on the 25th, then continues through Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, and Taipei. That final stretch covers some of MAMAMOO's most devoted regional fanbases, and based on the trajectory of the dates behind them, the expectation is more of the same.
The phrase fans keep reaching for, 따로 또 같이 ("apart yet together"), sums up what MAMAMOO have been doing since the members went their separate solo ways: building individual identities without dissolving the thing that makes them work as a group. The 4WARD tour is the clearest argument yet that they have figured out how to do both.
