NCT's Jisung (Park Ji-sung) showed up to the Crash 2: Wrath of the Road script reading with a cold and still delivered the rookie energy his character calls for, according to the production's first look at the session. He is the only new face in the season 2 cast, playing Ji Dae-se, a patrol officer who idolizes the Namgang Traffic Crime Investigation Team (T.C.I).

ENA confirmed on the 13th that the new Monday-Tuesday drama premieres November 16 at 10 p.m. KST. It will also be available on KT Genie TV and Disney+.

Season 1 aired in 2024 and built its name on traffic crime and car-chase action. It peaked at 6.6% in Nielsen Korea's paid-household ratings, which made it ENA's second-highest-rated drama ever. That is the bar Jisung is stepping into, and for fans used to seeing him on stage with NCT DREAM, a uniformed, eager newcomer is a fresh image.

A bigger team, a national case file

The story widens this time. T.C.I, previously a local unit, is reorganized into a regional investigation squad under the National Office of Investigation, taking on traffic crimes nationwide. The production team says the crimes the team faces are now more sophisticated and larger in scale, and asks viewers to look forward to "even stronger teamwork."

The season 1 creative team returns: writer Oh Su-jin and director Park Jun-woo, with production by Astory.

The returning cast

Lee Min-ki is back as the sharp-minded investigator Cha Yeon-ho, and Kwak Sun-young plays Min So-hee, a fighter with real martial arts skill and a stubborn investigative instinct. Heo Sung-tae returns as Jung Chae-man, a man who lost his wife in a hit-and-run and begins a new pursuit this season.

Lee Ho-cheol plays traffic crime analyst Woo Dong-gi, whose delicate side contrasts with his appearance, and Moon Hee is Eo Hyeon-gyeong, an action-minded member of the team with strong intelligence-gathering and martial arts skills.

How a rookie fits into a team that already has this much chemistry is the open question, and the production is leaning on it as a selling point.
