NewJeans' R&B track Hurt crossed 300 million Spotify streams on the 12th, logging a total of 300,050,241 plays to become the group's tenth song to hit that milestone. The figure brings the group's cumulative Spotify catalog count to nearly 8 billion streams across all releases.

Hurt appears on NewJeans' self-titled debut EP New Jeans and sits in a slightly different register from the group's bigger pop singles. Built on a groovy, rolling drum beat with clean, restrained vocals layered over it, the song's most distinctive feature is its a cappella-style chorus, a stripped-back moment that tends to catch first-time listeners off guard. It's a track that rewards repeat plays, which goes some way toward explaining why a deep cut from a debut album is still accumulating streams at this pace.

Alongside the streaming news, member Haerin has launched her first solo activity since returning to ADOR last November. Marie Claire Korea revealed on its official social media that Haerin covers the magazine's September issue, marking her first magazine cover since ELLE Japan in February 2024. The shoot was carried out as part of her official activities under ADOR.

Haerin and fellow member Hyein rejoined ADOR in November last year after a period that left the group's lineup and label situation unresolved. Since then, ADOR has been gradually ramping up content around the members: around NewJeans' fourth debut anniversary, the label posted individual content for Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein across social media.

The Marie Claire cover is a small but concrete signal that Haerin's solo schedule is opening back up, and for fans who have been watching closely, it is the clearest confirmation yet that her individual promotion track is moving forward within the label.
