BIGBANG Drops Stunning Visual Photos Ahead of 20th Anniversary Comeback
BIGBANG has released two rounds of visual photos for their upcoming digital single 'BiiiG', dropping on their 20th debut anniversary on August 19. The images show G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung in striking contrasting styles, from vivid crimson-toned individual shots to a moody monochrome series with a surrealist edge.

BIGBANG's return is taking shape one striking image at a time. YG Entertainment released two separate rounds of visual photos for the group's upcoming digital single BiiiG within 24 hours, and both sets landed with the kind of visual weight fans have come to associate with the group at full power.

The first batch, labeled the 'iii ver.', put each member in a boldly colored, individually styled frame. G-Dragon posed against a backdrop that evokes open flame, leaning into the kind of effortless, iconic energy that has defined his solo and group work for two decades. Taeyang showed up with an intense pink spiky hairstyle, his expression relaxed in that way that somehow reads as more confident than any attempt at intensity. Daesung went for a clash of textures: a bold patterned top under a structured classic jacket, pulling off sleek where the combination could have gone wrong.

The second round, the 'BiiiG ver.', traded the vivid color palette for something quieter and stranger. Monochrome tones, a sky rendered in thick painterly strokes, twisted architectural forms in black and white. The overall effect is surrealist and cinematic, with the three members in tailored suits at the center of it. Where the first set announced presence, this one builds atmosphere.

Taken together, the two photo series cover a lot of tonal ground: bold and colorful, then restrained and eerie. It suggests the single itself might have more range than a straightforward anniversary celebration track, though YG has described BiiiG simply as "the song that most clearly shows where BIGBANG is right now, twenty years in."

The title itself is a deliberate distortion of BIG, the group's name expanded into something that acknowledges the scale of what the past twenty years have actually been. August 19 marks the exact date of their 2006 debut, and the single drops that evening at 6 p.m. KST.

After the release, BIGBANG moves into their world tour XX: Cosmos, opening in Goyang on August 21 through 23 before hitting 19 cities across North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia for a total of 33 shows. For VIPs who have been waiting through a long and complicated few years for the group, the scale of that itinerary alone says something about the confidence behind this comeback.
