Simon Dominic's 20kg Transformation Is Impossible to Miss After His Waterbomb Busan Performance
Rapper Simon Dominic went shirtless during his Waterbomb Busan set this month, putting a dramatic physical transformation on full display. Having gone from 56kg to a peak of 76kg through consistent gym and boxing sessions over two years, the Amoeba Culture rapper says he feels better now than ever.

Rapper Simon Dominic took the Waterbomb Busan stage on the 8th and made sure nobody in the crowd missed what two years of boxing and weight training looks like. He performed shirtless in jeans and a bandana, flexing and belting into the mic in a set that the festival's official Busan account described with exactly the energy the crowd brought: "Busan, are you ready? Are you ready to play with Simon Dominic? Only the real ones who know how to party show up in his hometown!"

The video, posted to Waterbomb Busan's social channels, quickly drew attention less for the setlist and more for the physique. Simon Dominic, known in Korean hip-hop circles as Ssam D, has been open about a significant body transformation, but seeing it live on a summer festival stage made the change hard to argue with.
The full picture came together last month when he appeared on artist Gi-an 84's YouTube channel In-saeng 84. There, he walked through the routine behind the results: fasted cardio in the mornings, followed by gym sessions and boxing, with most weekdays dedicated to training. "When I look at old photos of myself before I started working out, I look so thin I could be an alien," he said. "Right now is when I feel the best."
Gi-an 84 added context that put the numbers in perspective. According to him, Simon Dominic weighed around 56kg as recently as three years ago. He started boxing two years back after deciding he needed to make a change, gradually building to a peak of 76kg at his heaviest. For his current touring and performance schedule, he has since trimmed back down to the mid-60kg range, which puts him somewhere between his former self and his heaviest point, but with considerably more muscle in the frame.
For fans who followed Simon Dominic through his years as one half of Supreme Team and his later solo work under Amoeba Culture, the visual contrast is genuinely striking. The Waterbomb performance, with its close-up crowd interaction and that moment where he raised both arms to the audience, was about as direct a statement as a festival set can make.
