Stray Kids' 'THIS & THAT' Sells 3.28 Million Copies in Its First Week
Stray Kids' new mini-album THIS & THAT moved 3,289,269 copies in its first week according to Hanteo Chart, making it the group's fourth triple-million-seller. The figure ranks second among all K-pop albums released this year, trailing only BTS's ARIRANG, and a Billboard 200 number-one appears all but certain.

Stray Kids' new mini-album THIS & THAT sold 3,289,269 copies in its first week on sale, according to Hanteo Chart data announced by JYP Entertainment on August 15. That number makes it the group's fourth album to clear the three-million mark in seven days, and the second-best first-week sales figure for any K-pop release in 2026 so far, behind only BTS's fifth studio album ARIRANG.

The previous three triple-million-sellers from Stray Kids were ★★★★★ (Five-Star), the mini-album 樂-STAR (Rockstar), and KARMA. JYP noted that THIS & THAT outpaced its immediate predecessor, DO IT, by roughly one million copies in opening-week sales, a meaningful jump that suggests the group's domestic and international fanbase is still expanding rather than plateauing.
THIS & THAT was released on August 7. By the end of its first week, the title track had climbed to number one on Circle Chart's weekly download rankings and earned the group back-to-back music show wins: first on Mnet's M Countdown on August 13, then on KBS 2TV's Music Bank on August 14.
The Billboard 200 result, due for release on August 17 (Korean time), is widely expected to land at number one. That outcome would extend one of the more unusual streaks in contemporary chart history: starting with ODDINARY in 2022, every Stray Kids album to debut on the Billboard 200 has entered at the top. MAXIDENT, ★★★★★, 樂-STAR, ATE, 合 (HOP), KARMA, and DO IT followed in sequence, making eight consecutive number-one entries. A ninth would set new records for both the most Billboard 200 chart-toppers by a K-pop act and the longest consecutive run of number-one debuts on that chart.
The early returns here are as clean as they get: strong domestic sales, music show wins in the first week, and a Billboard 200 streak that has held across eight releases and multiple album formats. Circle the date on August 17. The ceiling for this group on that chart is now whatever they choose to release next.
