Sungmin, a member of Super Junior, recently shared his journey as a first-time dad to a 22-month-old son during the upcoming episode of KBS' Let's Live Together, airing on August 26. In this episode, cast members plan a gratitude feast for local residents who lent their community hall during renovation work, showcasing the spirit of togetherness.

The trio, including cast members Hwang Shin-hye, Shin Gye-sook, and Yang Jung-a, organize an impressive menu of ‘jjabapmyeon’, a delightful dish combining Korean fried noodles and rice. As they gather ingredients for 80 servings, Shin Gye-sook leads the grocery shopping with hands full of cartloads, demonstrating her culinary prowess by expertly frying the jjajang sauce in the kitchen.

Sungmin makes a cheerful appearance to help with the feast. Hwang Shin-hye expresses her delight at his presence, reminiscing about their past encounter in the U.S. When Sungmin opens up about his experiences as a new dad, Hwang eagerly connects, recalling her own daughter’s childhood.

Adding to the excitement, trot singer Jinseong arrives at Sungmin's request, taking charge of boiling the noodles to help with the feast preparations. The five of them work harmoniously, serving the jjabapmyeon with care and charm, which leaves the community members enchanted by this unique dish they’re trying for the first time.

Later in the episode, Sungmin electrifies the audience with a spirited performance as the ‘Trot Prince’, followed by a surprising appearance from ‘Trot Master’ Jinseong, igniting cheers and applause from the locals. With unmatched stage presence, Jinseong elevates the atmosphere to a joyful peak.

Sungmin has been married to musical theater actress Kim Sa-eun since 2014. They recently celebrated ten years of marriage and welcomed a healthy son into their family. While Super Junior made a comeback to celebrate their 20th anniversary last year with a twelfth studio album, Sungmin has also been exploring his individual pursuits alongside group activities.

This episode of Let's Live Together beautifully illustrates how Sungmin navigates his roles as a new parent and a member of the community, combining personal life with public service in a heartwarming way.
