BTS's V Reveals Hearing Loss While Jungkook Threatens to Expose Sasaeng Fans Who Stalked Them at 2am

BTS's V and Jungkook walked into their hotel gym at 2am during their North America tour and found approximately 20 fans already waiting. That detail alone would have been enough for a live broadcast. Then V mentioned he has footage.

The two members went live on Weverse shortly after their Baltimore show on the 12th, and the gym incident came up almost immediately. V said he had never seen that kind of crowd in a hotel fitness facility at that hour during any tour. The implication was obvious: they weren't there to work out. Jungkook put it more directly, telling the fans who had followed them there to stop staring and actually pick up a dumbbell. "Isn't this our private life?" he said.

V went further. He mentioned that a fan in a green outfit had been filmed the day before, and that he could release the footage. Whether that was a genuine warning or frustration talking is hard to say, but the phrasing was pointed enough that it landed.

This isn't the first time either member has had to address the issue on this tour. V previously asked fans to stop gathering outside their hotels, framing it as a request rather than a reprimand. That approach, apparently, didn't stick. Jungkook's situation carries more history: shortly after he was discharged from mandatory military service last year, a Chinese national was arrested by police while attempting to break into his home.

The sasaeng problem around BTS is not new, but the directness of this particular live was notable. One fan reportedly approached V directly after Jungkook left the broadcast, which did nothing to help the mood.

The more unexpected moment in the live was V's hearing confession. He said the problem has been building for about two and a half years. His right ear, he explained, registers sound at roughly 30% of what his left ear picks up. He started taking medication and has been attending regular hospital appointments. He added that the condition worsened during his military service, where he initially dismissed it as a mental discipline issue because everyone around him was pushing through physical strain. He no longer sees it that way.

BTS is currently mid-run on their world tour Arirang. Upcoming North American dates include AT&T Stadium in Arlington on the 15th and 16th, followed by Rogers Stadium in Toronto on the 22nd and 23rd.
