Confined White Lands at MPMG Music, Home of Soran and Touched, and Drops New Single August 15

Confined White announced an exclusive contract with MPMG Music this week, with the news delivered on the ground at the 2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival moments after the band left the stage. The timing was deliberate: Pentaport is where MPMG has long introduced its artists to a live audience, and the label wasted no time making the partnership official.

Formed in 2019, Confined White is made up entirely of members born in 1999. The band built its reputation on lyrical, cinematic songwriting, releasing the single Dog, the track Hello, Dear, and a self-titled debut EP over six years of steady grassroots work. That patience paid off in competitive circles: they took the grand prize at the 2025 Incheon Pentaport Super Rookie contest and were named EBS's Hello Rookie of the Month, two of the more credible discovery platforms in the Korean indie scene.

MPMG Music is widely regarded as one of Korea's premier homes for guitar-driven acts. Its roster includes Soran, Thornapple (쏜애플), Surl, Touched, and the Yudabin Band, a lineup that has defined a certain strain of introspective Korean indie rock over the past decade. For a band of Confined White's profile, landing here is less a first step than a confirmation of where six years of work has placed them.

The band's first official activity under the new deal is the single Mild Fever (미열), set for release on August 15. Festival appearances at Music Flow Festival and Sound Planet Festival follow, giving the group immediate visibility on the summer circuit.

The early returns are solid: a Super Rookie grand prize and a broadcaster selection before the ink is even dry on a major label deal. The ceiling here depends on whether Mild Fever connects outside the indie circuit, but the infrastructure at MPMG is built exactly for that kind of expansion.
