Go Soo Parts Ways With BH Entertainment After 15 Years Together

Actor Go Soo has left BH Entertainment, ending a partnership that stretched across roughly 15 years, the agency confirmed on the 15th. The split comes by mutual agreement, according to BH, and arrives at a particularly visible moment: Go Soo is set to appear in the SBS drama Nine to Six later this year.

BH Entertainment said in a statement that the two sides reached the decision after thorough discussions, with both wishing each other well. "We sincerely support Go Soo's new beginning and look forward to watching the diverse work he will continue to build as an actor," the agency said.

A long run at one of Korea's top agencies

Go Soo first signed with BH Entertainment and renewed his exclusive contract in 2017, staying with the label through a period that saw him work across a wide range of genres and characters. BH is one of the more prominent talent agencies in the Korean industry, currently home to Lee Byung-hun, Park Bo-young, Park Hae-soo, Lee Ji-ah, Han Ga-in, Han Ji-min, Kim Go-eun, Lee Jin-wook, and Han Hyo-joo. For an actor to spend that long under one roof is not unusual in Korea, where exclusive contracts are the norm, but 15 years represents a meaningful stretch of a career.

In recent years Go Soo has shown a lighter, more comedic side alongside his dramatic work, appearing on Jikjangins and SNL Korea to noticeably warm reception. That range, across genres and tonal registers, is something he will carry into whatever arrangement he makes next.

Timing and what comes next

The departure lands just ahead of Nine to Six, his upcoming SBS drama scheduled for the second half of the year, which means Go Soo will be navigating a new agency situation while a major project heads into broadcast. That kind of timing is not uncommon in the Korean entertainment industry, where contract cycles and drama production schedules rarely align neatly, but it does put his next management move under closer watch than it might otherwise receive.

BH Entertainment noted it will continue to follow and support his future activities. Go Soo has not yet announced a new agency affiliation.
