"No, I'm not okay." With that line, Kim Yoo-jung's Lee Ga-kyung finally dropped the tough front she had held all episode, sobbing in the arms of Park Jin-young's Sato Hideo in the closing minutes of 100 Days of Deception episode 6, which aired on the 25th on tvN.

The breakdown came after Ga-kyung heard a gunshot and ran to the interrogation room, over Hideo's attempts to stop her. Inside she found the body of Geum Seok-jung (Kam Woo-sung), who had been tortured during questioning. Then she saw Sato Shinichi (Jin Seon-kyu) walking out of the room, and she sank to the floor.

Why she came back

Ga-kyung had already told the resistance she was quitting. Interpreting for Geum's interrogation, she had watched the violence up close, and pressure from Fukuda (Kim Jung-hee) added to the shock after Shinichi's assassination attempt and Geum's arrest.

Two people brought her back. Yoo Pil-lip (Lee Moo-saeng) appealed to her directly: if anyone lost a daughter overnight, wouldn't they make a choice like So-ran's, and couldn't she understand So-ran's goal? Yoo So-ran (Kim Hyun-joo) added that Ga-kyung would never betray them. Ga-kyung steadied herself and returned.

Her new orders from So-ran were cold: win Sato Hideo's heart, but never develop real feelings. The two had already started working in quiet step while interpreting for Geum's questioning, and a subtle tension was building between them.

The scene that carries the hour

Hideo followed Ga-kyung home, worried, and asked carefully whether she was all right. The confident, high-chinned woman of earlier scenes was gone. Ga-kyung admitted she wasn't, and cried out loud as Hideo wordlessly pulled her in. He wept quietly too.

What makes the scene land is the contrast. Ga-kyung has spent the episode being told to hold feeling at arm's length, and the hug is the one moment where neither character is performing. Kim Yoo-jung plays the collapse without polish, which keeps it raw.

A cover under threat

The episode closed on a new danger. Shinichi noticed that both Geum Seok-jung and Geum Seo-hee, Ga-kyung's false identity, share the rare surname Geum, and ordered a check of their personal records. The link between the two could expose her.
