Jessica and Park Myungsoo Are Reuniting for 'Naengmyeon': 17 Years Later

Jessica and Park Myungsoo are set to share a stage again, and the song bringing them back together is Naengmyeon, a fan-favorite duet that hasn't been performed live since roughly 2008. The reunion will take place at the 2026 Infinite Challenge Run in Gyeongju, a large-scale event blending marathon racing, variety entertainment, and a full concert, scheduled for September 19 at 4:30 p.m.

The post-race concert is shaping up to be a proper Mudo Gayo Festival reunion. Alongside Jessica and Park Myungsoo, the lineup includes Skull and HaHa, Zion.T, Yoon Mirae and Tiger JK, and Lee Juck, all artists whose appearances at past Infinite Challenge music festivals left a lasting mark on Korean pop culture. For fans who grew up watching those specials, seeing this many names on a single bill will feel like a time capsule cracking open.

The event itself is built around the world of Infinite Challenge, the legendary MBC variety show that ran for over a decade. Last month, a first edition was held in Seoul's Sangam district with a cops-and-robbers concept. The Gyeongju edition moves the theme into the past: participants run as pojol (Joseon-era constables) or dojok (thieves) in a treasure-hunt race through some of the city's most significant historical landmarks, including Cheomseongdae Observatory, Cheonmachong (part of the Daereungwon tomb complex), and the Bomun Tourist Complex.

The race course gets an upgrade this time around as well. In addition to the existing 10km route, organizers are introducing a half-marathon course (approximately 21km) for the first time, giving more competitive runners a longer challenge alongside the fun-run crowd.

Infinite Challenge members Park Myungsoo, Jung Joon-ha, HaHa, and Kwanghee will all participate in the Gyeongju race, following their appearance at the Seoul edition in June. The race departs from Gyeongju Citizens' Stadium.

Ticketing details have not yet been announced, but the combination of the half-marathon debut and a concert headlined by a Naengmyeon revival means the September event is already generating significant attention from both runners and longtime Infinite Challenge fans.
