The Exact Meals Jung Chaeyeon Eats to Stay in Shape After Losing 16kg Pre-Debut
Jung Chaeyeon shared her go-to summer diet on social media, posting photos of a meal featuring sweet potato, corn, peach, and Greek yogurt. The singer-actress famously dropped 16kg in just three months ahead of her girl group debut, and her current routine suggests the discipline never really went away.

Jung Chaeyeon posted her summer meal spread on Instagram with the caption "tropical night warning", and it's exactly as clean as you'd expect from someone who cut 16kg in three months before debuting in a girl group.
The spread she shared: sweet potato, corn, peach, and Greek yogurt. Neat, balanced, and very deliberate.
For context, Chaeyeon lost that weight while going from 64kg down to 48kg in the lead-up to her debut. That number has followed her career ever since, and the fact that she's still leaning on essentially the same diet framework years later is either impressive consistency or the kind of discipline that never really switches off. Probably both.
Greek yogurt is doing a lot of work in that lineup. Compared to regular yogurt, the strained version packs significantly more protein with less carbohydrate and sodium. The high protein content extends satiety, which matters if you're trying to keep calories in check through a hot, appetite-suppressing summer. The probiotics help too, better gut environment, smoother digestion, less bloating.
Sweet potato is the other anchor. It has a relatively low glycemic index for a carbohydrate, which means it releases energy slowly rather than spiking blood sugar and crashing. Complex carbs like this don't convert to fat as readily as simple sugars, and they give you sustained energy for workouts. The Korean Ministry of Agriculture's agricultural information portal has also flagged sweet potato's fiber content and its natural resin glycosides as gut-health contributors, helping with digestion and waste elimination.
The corn rounds out the whole grains side of the plate. Research from the University of Guelph's Iris J. Joye lab on dietary fiber in whole grains and pseudo-cereals found that the mix of soluble and insoluble fiber in whole grains is associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Not a diet tip so much as a reminder that the unglamorous foods on Chaeyeon's tray are doing real work.
The peach is probably just because it's summer and peaches are good. But it fits: low calorie, high water content, naturally sweet without spiking anything.
Chaeyeon's post didn't come with a nutrition lecture attached. It didn't need one. The meal speaks for itself, and fans who've followed her since her debut-era weight loss already know what the spread means.
