JYP Entertainment and J.Y. Park Donate 550 Million Won for Sick Children in Mexico
JYP Entertainment and CCO J.Y. Park have donated a combined 550 million won to fund medical care for vulnerable children in Mexico. Park personally delivered the funds at a nonprofit eye clinic in Mexico City on September 22.

JYP Entertainment and its CCO J.Y. Park donated a combined 550 million won (roughly 7.5 million Mexican pesos) to World Vision Korea and World Vision Mexico on the 23rd, earmarked for medical treatment of critically ill children from low-income families in Mexico. The figure brings into focus a giving pattern that has been building quietly for years: Park has contributed 1 billion won from his personal funds every year since 2022, and JYP as a company has directed tens of billions of won through its flagship social responsibility program over the same period.
The combined donation breaks down as 450 million won from JYP's corporate budget and 100 million won from Park's own pocket. Park was in Mexico City for personal reasons when he visited a nonprofit ophthalmology clinic on September 22 (local time) and handed over the funds directly. The in-person delivery was deliberate. Aides described it as consistent with how Park has approached the program since its inception.
What the money covers
The funds will go toward surgery costs, chemotherapy, and assistive medical devices for children and teenagers in Mexico dealing with serious conditions including ophthalmological disorders, heart disease, and pediatric hematology-oncology cases. Both World Vision organizations will coordinate the distribution and medical partnerships on the ground.
The donation is part of JYP's EDM initiative, which stands for Every Dream Matters. JYP launched the program in 2020, and since then it has supported 4,489 patients across ten regions in Asia and Latin America, with cumulative funding of approximately 10 billion won.
Park addressed the visit in a statement released alongside the announcement.
