Stray Kids member Changbin donated 100 million KRW to Samsung Seoul Hospital on his birthday, August 11, with the full amount directed toward pediatric care, JYP Entertainment confirmed. The sum is split evenly: 50 million KRW to cover treatment costs for young patients, and 50 million KRW for emotional support programs serving patients' families.

In a statement through the agency, Changbin said the donation was made possible by his fans. "Thanks to the tremendous love you have all sent me, I was able to put something meaningful into practice on my birthday," he said. "I sincerely hope that my heart reaches those who need help, and that it becomes even a small source of hope and warm comfort."

This is the second consecutive birthday on which Changbin has donated to Samsung Seoul Hospital, having made a similar gift on his birthday in 2025 as well. His giving record stretches back further: following the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquake, he contributed emergency relief funds and was recognized on The Promise's Honours Club, a list reserved for donors who meet a set contribution threshold.

The timing puts a philanthropic marker alongside what is otherwise a busy promotional period. Stray Kids released their mini-album THIS & THAT on August 7 and are currently promoting it. Later this month, on August 29 and 30, the group will perform solo concerts at Tokyo's National Olympic Stadium as part of their new world tour RUN IT, becoming the first overseas male artists to headline the venue. The donation is the kind of detail that tends to stick with a fanbase long after a promotional cycle ends.
