Former figure skater Kim Yuna shared photos from a Marie Claire Korea editorial on the 27th, debuting a short, close-cropped hairstyle that represents a clear break from the long hair she has favored throughout most of her public life. The images, posted to her own social media accounts, quickly drew attention for how different the look is from her established aesthetic.

The shoot was produced in collaboration with the Korean edition of the fashion magazine, and the resulting photos show the neckline fully exposed, a styling choice that reads as deliberately clean and minimal. For someone whose appearance at high-profile events has reliably meant long, styled hair, the shift is more than cosmetic.
