Kim Yuna and NewJeans' Haerin Share a Warm Moment at Dior Beauty Event

NewJeans member Haerin stepped back onto the public stage at a Dior Beauty event in Seoul on the 7th, and the detail that stood out was not the venue or the product, it was the conversation happening in the corner of the room.

Haerin was spotted chatting animatedly with retired figure skating champion Kim Yuna at the Rouge Dior On Stage pop-up held at Lotte Avenuel in Jamsil. Digital magazine Fast Paper, which covered the event, posted a video of the exchange with the caption describing Haerin as having a lot to say, gesturing expressively as she led the conversation while Kim Yuna nodded along before breaking into a laugh. The two women are both Dior Beauty ambassadors, and their easy rapport in the clip drew significant attention online.

For Haerin, the appearance carries more weight than a typical brand event. She declared the termination of her exclusive contract with ADOR in November 2024, but lost a lawsuit seeking confirmation that the termination was valid, and returned to ADOR in November of last year. The Dior event marks her first official public appearance since that return.

Kim Yuna's styling, and the pregnancy rumor her agency dismissed

Kim Yuna arrived at the event in a black sleeveless long dress, her hair worn straight and loose, with gold earrings and a necklace that sharpened the overall look. She carried a deep burgundy tote bag. The styling was clean and self-assured, consistent with how she has dressed for press events since retiring from competitive skating.

After photos from the event circulated, some online commenters suggested that Kim Yuna appeared to have gained weight and speculated about a possible pregnancy. Her agency, All That Sports, addressed the rumor directly: "It is completely groundless. The outfit made her appear that way; she is not pregnant."

It is not the first time Kim Yuna has dealt with this particular rumor. In 2022, when she announced her engagement to Go Woo-rim, a member of the group Forestella, speculation about a premarital pregnancy circulated online because her then-fiancé had not yet completed his mandatory military service. Her agency denied that claim with equal firmness at the time. The two married in October 2022, after meeting at her ice show All That Skate 2018 and dating for three years.

The agency's statement on the 8th was brief and final: "She is not pregnant now either."
