MAMAMOO's Solar attacked in LA: Random stranger throws chair during outing

MAMAMOO's Solar recently shared a shocking experience from Los Angeles where she was nearly injured after a stranger threw a chair at her. During a live broadcast on August 31, while engaging with fans, she recounted the frightening incident that occurred just before her concert.

Solar detailed, "In LA, I was walking with Moonbyul, a hair staff member, and two male managers, making a total of five people in our group." She explained that as they walked, three of them, including herself and Moonbyul, were ahead while the managers trailed behind.

Suddenly, a man approached them from across the street, holding a chair. Solar remembered thinking, "What’s going on?" when he began yelling insults in English. Then, out of nowhere, he hurled the chair in her direction, hitting her with the flying debris. "This was my first experience of something like this in my life. He was definitely acting strangely," she recalled.

Her managers quickly moved to protect her, but the man left the scene shortly thereafter. Solar continued, "I was so surprised. It was my first time experiencing something like this and I just froze, thinking, 'Huh?'" Thankfully, she didn’t suffer any serious injuries. She noted, "The chair was wooden and shattered when thrown. My leg had a bruise, but it seems to have faded now. At the moment, I was too panicked to even feel the pain."

MAMAMOO has recently wrapped up their successful world tour in North America. The group’s strong performance on stage showcased their undeniable presence and synergy as members, reaffirming their status as a powerhouse global act. Their agency, RBW, reported that they completed the North American leg of their '4WARD' tour on August 30 at the Kent Accesso Showare Center in Washington. The tour title, combining the number '4' representing the four members and 'FORWARD', symbolizes their united journey going ahead.
