KATSEYE's "Touch" Is Now a NewJeans Fight, and Nobody Has Posted a Receipt

A claim is circulating on instiz that a song once tied to NewJeans ended up with KATSEYE, and the first reply asks the obvious question: where's the source? Another commenter says it came from an interview the group gave to Billboard. The post itself doesn't link or quote it, so treat this as unverified.

The song at the center is "Touch." Fans can't agree on whether this is a scandal or a shrug. HYBE, which is behind KATSEYE, hasn't been quoted on the matter in the post.

The fight comes down to two readings. One says NewJeans were quietly discarded. The other says songs get reassigned all the time in K-pop and there's nothing to see. Either way, the timing is suspicious to some readers, given how raw the NewJeans and HYBE history still is.

What instiz users said

1. 1

   Where's the source for this?

   • ㄴ

Someone replied that it seems to come from an interview they did with Billboard.

2. 2

Wow, they really did throw NewJeans away.

3. 3

Honestly, "Touch" was just okay to me anyway.

4. 4

Isn't this pretty normal? Songs get passed around all the time.

5. 5

True or not, "Touch" never had the NewJeans feel at all.

6. 6

The song never really belonged to NewJeans. The composer had other songs that fit them better.

7. 7

HYBE is going to be in trouble over this, lol.

8. 8

KATSEYE debuted after the Min scandal, so I don't think this is true.

9. 9

Is this your first time learning about K-pop? Songs get moved around constantly.

10. 10

Are the commenters dumb? Singers get swapped out all the time in reality, and this isn't even that kind of case.
