Noel's Kang Gyun-sung to Marry Actress Yoo Ha-jin on October 30

Kang Gyun-sung, a member of Korean vocal group Noel, will marry actress Yoo Ha-jin on October 30 at an undisclosed venue in Seoul, his agency S27M Entertainment confirmed on the morning of the 4th. The announcement follows a pattern familiar to long-running Korean acts: a personal note to the fandom before the label statement, meant to soften the news for a fanbase that has followed the group for more than two decades.

S27M said in its official release that the couple built their relationship on deep mutual trust and affection, and that Kang made the decision to marry with full conviction. The agency added that he plans to continue his career as both an artist and, now, the head of a household.

A day before the agency announcement, Kang posted a handwritten letter to his personal social media account addressed to Noeulbit, the name of Noel's official fandom. In it, he wrote that he had found someone he wanted to walk through life with, thanked fans for staying by him through the years, and asked for their continued warmth and blessings.

The announcement has drawn considerable interest toward Yoo Ha-jin, who is not yet a widely recognized name outside Korean drama circles. Born in 1995, she is 14 years younger than Kang, who turned 45 this year. She made her acting debut in the 2019 MBC drama Spring Night and has since appeared in a range of television productions including Welcome, It's Okay to Be a Little Sensitive 2020, Fly Up, Butterfly, and Freezing Cold Romance. On the film side, she took on supporting and lead roles in Turn: The Street and Body Compilation.zip.

Beyond drama work, Yoo built early public recognition through commercial campaigns, fronting advertisements for Korean Air's Terminal 2 as well as brands in the beauty, gaming, and home appliance categories. Most recently, she was on stage in the theater production Rental Apartment, where she played the role of Yoon Jeong-hyeon; the run closed on the 2nd.

Kang debuted with Noel in 2002 on their first album and the group has remained active through consistent releases and live performances. For fans who have followed Noel across that span, the wedding news carries a certain weight: it marks the first major personal milestone announcement from a member in some time, and the care Kang took in addressing Noeulbit directly before any official statement suggests he understood that.
