RESCENE's Woni sat down in front of her YouTube camera on the 28th and said something you don't often hear from an idol riding back-to-back chart-toppers: "I just want this to last one more year."

The moment came during a candid segment on her channel, 안녕하세요원이입니다잘부탁드립니다, framed around the premise that Woni has become a top star. But rather than playing it up, she used the setting to share something more personal about how she actually thinks about RESCENE's meteoric rise.

'What would our lives have looked like?'

At one point, Woni turned to the show's PD and said, "Honestly, what would have happened to us if I hadn't met you?" When the PD asked what she meant, she answered simply: "Our lives."

The PD pushed back gently, saying it's impossible to know, that RESCENE might have broken through on a different platform anyway. Woni acknowledged that, but held her ground. "Still, the fact is we got popular through this channel. It needs to last a long time, but honestly? I just want it to go on for one more year."

It's the kind of honesty that tends to land hard with fans, especially from a leader who clearly carries the weight of the group's future seriously.

That weight came through again when the camera crew passed by RESCENE's first dorm. Woni grew reflective. "Back then, I ran so hard because I was terrified RESCENE would fall apart," she said. "I'm kind of the leader, and I debuted as an adult, so I think I felt the pressure more deeply than some of the others."

From YouTube obscurity to back-to-back No. 1s

For anyone new to RESCENE's story, the short version is this: early in 2026, Woni began letting viewers into the group's everyday life through her YouTube channel, and the unfiltered, warm dynamic between the members caught on in a big way. The attention sent their 2024 debut single LOVE ATTACK racing back up the charts to reach No. 1 long after its original release, a genuine reverse-charting moment that cemented the group's name in the conversation.

They didn't slow down from there. Pretty Girl, released last month, also hit No. 1, making it two chart-toppers within a remarkably short window.

For a group that was, not long ago, quietly grinding through their early career, Woni's "one more year" comment doesn't read as pessimism. It reads more like someone who has been paying close attention to how quickly things can change, and who is deeply grateful for exactly where they are right now.
