Felix Drops 300M KRW on His Birthday While His Stray Kids Bandmates Give 100M Each

Three consecutive September birthdays, three separate donations totaling 500 million KRW, and not a single one of them made a fuss about it beforehand. TXT's Yeonjun started it on the 13th, Stray Kids' Han followed on the 14th, and Felix wrapped on the 15th.

Yeonjun donated 100 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea (known in Korean as Sarang-ui Yeolmae) on his birthday, September 13, becoming a member of the organization's Honor Society, a tier reserved for high-value donors. The funds are earmarked for free meal services for elderly residents in the Seongnam area and renovations to aging welfare facilities.

This isn't a one-off for him. Yeonjun has previously donated to programs supporting underfed children, firefighter mental health care, and the construction of an ALS care hospital. With this birthday gift, he's expanding his focus to cover elderly welfare, making his giving explicitly cross-generational.

"I wanted to share the love I've received with more people in a meaningful way," he said. "I hope this becomes a great strength that makes someone's day a little warmer."

Han matches the figure a day later

Stray Kids' Han gave the same 100 million KRW total on September 14, split evenly between two recipients: 50 million KRW to Angels Haven, a social welfare foundation, for trauma care and psychological support for children who have experienced abuse, and another 50 million to Eunpyeong Angel's Home for child-rearing and education programs.

This is the second year running he's donated on his birthday. Last year the recipient was Samsung Seoul Hospital. The consistency matters: it suggests this is a deliberate practice rather than a publicity moment.

"I wanted to send even a small measure of warm comfort to children with wounded hearts," Han said. "I sincerely hope the children can overcome their pain within a safe and caring environment and find their bright smiles again."

Felix closes it out with 300 million KRW across four causes

Fellix, who turns the page on birthdays differently than most, made the relay's final move the biggest. On September 15, he donated a total of 300 million KRW split four ways: 100 million KRW each to Samsung Seoul Hospital and Seoul National University Children's Hospital, and 50 million KRW each to Books International (for mother-tongue picture book production) and UNICEF Korea's Nepal flood emergency relief fund.

The range is notable. Two of the four recipients are local pediatric oncology and vulnerable patient programs; the other two reach internationally. Felix has been donating consistently since 2024.

"I hope many children's days are filled with clear hope instead of worry," he said. "I hope this becomes a small but warm support for children's precious today and tomorrow."

Fans have responded to all three announcements with visible emotion online, and the timing is hard to ignore: three members from two groups, on three consecutive dates, with no apparent coordination and no shared agency pushing the narrative. Whatever else is going on in the K-pop industry this September, this particular story is straightforwardly good.
