Yoon Jong-hoon and Han Eun-seo Wed After 9 Secret Years Together

"Thank you for keeping our long relationship a secret." That was Han Eun-seo's message to guests at her wedding to fellow actor Yoon Jong-hoon, held on the afternoon of the 1st at a wedding hall in Seoul's Gangnam District, after a romance of about nine years.

The couple first became close on the set of the 2018 SBS drama Return, and they reportedly began dating around March of that year. Their wedding invitation counted the coming autumn as their tenth together. Park Ki-woong, a Return castmate who is said to have been among the very first to know about the relationship, hosted both parts of the ceremony.

A ceremony full of colleagues

Actor Bong Tae-gyu gave the congratulatory speech, and singer Yoon Ha, a friend of the bride, performed the celebration song. Fellow actors including So Yoo-jin, Yeon Jung-hoon and Choi Yeo-jin attended as guests. Wedding photos obtained by Spotv News show the couple holding hands, smiling.

The invitation had already drawn attention for its wording. It described the other person as "always my brightest actor and my most passionate audience," and called them someone who had been "each other's season" for years.

What the couple said beforehand

In September, Yoon announced the news himself in a handwritten letter on his official fan cafe. He wrote that a precious connection had come into his life and that he intended to walk the rest of it with that person. He added that he would live more responsibly as a husband and as an actor, and that he felt both excitement and weight as the date approached.

Han posted her own message on social media alongside a photo of the two. She called Yoon someone who had sent her warm, steady love for a long time, and promised that they would cherish each other and try to be better people, for one another and for those around them.

There was a second piece of good news for Han this autumn. On the 27th of last month she announced that she had graduated with distinction from a master's program at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She had earlier completed a bachelor's and master's in acting arts at Sungkyunkwan University and gone on to doctoral studies there. Yoon reportedly liked her post to congratulate her.

Who they are

Yoon, born in 1984, debuted on stage in 2006 and has appeared in Monstar, Reply 1994, Misaeng and The Penthouse. Han, born in 1994, debuted in 2008 with The Great King, Sejong and has since appeared in Vampire Detective and Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Becoming Lawyers. The couple is ten years apart in age.
