4Minute's Jeon Ji-yoon Marries on the 22nd, Second Member After HyunA

4Minute alumna Jeon Ji-yoon is getting married on the 22nd, she announced on social media on the 4th, writing that the word "marriage" suddenly made her feel both shy and excited. She will become the second member of the group to wed, following HyunA, who married singer Yong Jun-hyung in October 2024.

The ceremony will take place at a wedding hall in Seoul. Her fiancé is not a public figure, and the event is private, with only family and close friends attending.

In her post, Jeon said she never expected the day would come when she would say the word out loud in reference to her own life. She described her partner as someone with a warmer heart and more admirable qualities than her own. She also promised to keep writing diligently as an author and to become a person who knows how to give love.

From 4Minute's performance center to web novels

Jeon debuted with 4Minute in 2009 and was often called a "performance queen" for pairing sharp dance skills with rap, which kept her at the center of the group's stage identity. Hits she helped carry include "Hot Issue," "Muzik," "HUH," "Mirror Mirror," "What's Your Name?" and "Crazy."

After 4Minute disbanded in 2016, she went solo as a singer-songwriter, writing and performing her own material. More recently she drew attention by revealing that she had been working as a web novelist under a pen name, the career she referenced in her wedding message.

For fans who grew up with the group's brassy, confident era of 2010s girl-group pop, this is a warm bit of news: one member's wedding two years ago, and now another's.
