A mysterious teaser poster dropped on YG Entertainment's official blog on the 6th, and BABYMONSTER fans immediately had a date to circle: October 23 at 1 p.m. KST. That's when the group's next single arrives, roughly four months after SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA dominated YouTube's 24-hour most-watched chart and cleared 100 million views in just 17 days.

The teaser itself offers atmosphere over information. Shot in stark black and white, it shows a glowing planet suspended in darkness and a long ribbon of light stretching across water, visual language that leans into something expansive and a little unknowing. The song title, album format, and any other details remain under wraps for now.

Coming off a busy run

The timing puts the new release in sharp relief. Since dropping their third mini-album CHOOM earlier this year, BABYMONSTER have kept a brisk pace, following SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA with additional b-sides I LIKE IT and MOON. Four months between releases is quick by most standards, and the fact that the group is doing it while actively on tour makes it even more striking.

BABYMONSTER are currently midway through their second world tour, 2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM]. Their two-night run at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan drew a combined 90,000 fans by YG's count. The tour resumes on the 17th in Jakarta, Indonesia, before continuing across five continents, Asia, Oceania, South America, North America, and Europe, spanning 18 cities and 31 shows in total.

With new music landing just days before that Jakarta stop, the natural question is whether the song finds its way into the live setlist. It would be an unusually fast turnaround from release to stage, but for a group running at this pace, it wouldn't be the most surprising move they've made.
