BABYMONSTER Drops 'MOON' MV: Their 4th Video From One Mini-Album

BABYMONSTER has now released four music videos from a single mini-album, because apparently YG Entertainment had more to say.

The MV for 'MOON' dropped at midnight on August 3, the latest in a rolling campaign tied to the group's third mini-album CHOOM. Since May, YG has steadily pushed out videos for the title track 'CHOOM,' the digital single 'Sugar Honey Ice Tea,' and album cut 'I Like It,' with 'MOON' now closing that run.

The track itself is southern trap: minimal in construction, built on a distinctive synthesizer sound that leans atmospheric and a little unsettling. The MV leans into that fully. Think dark urban backdrops, black-and-red visuals on the members, and a dreamlike story direction that prioritizes mood over narrative clarity. A choreography performance is included, restrained enough to feel deliberate, though BABYMONSTER first previewed the routine at their Seoul concert back in June.

Promo posters released ahead of the drop showed the members shot against a dark cityscape, the color palette doing most of the heavy lifting in setting the video's register.

The timing is suspicious only in the sense that YG has been running this campaign hot for three months straight, which is a lot of content churn for one release cycle. Whether that pace is building toward something or just filling the calendar is the question the group's fanbase has been quietly asking since the second drop landed.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is mid-way through their second world tour, which kicked off in Seoul in June and stretches across Asia, Oceania, South America, North America, and Europe, five continents in one cycle.
