Bruno Mars Returns to Korea for the First Time in 4 Years, and Demand Forced a Fifth Show

Bruno Mars will play five nights in the Seoul metropolitan area in May 2027, after presale tickets for his original four dates sold out almost immediately when they went on sale on the 11th. Promoter Live Nation Korea announced the additional show within hours of the presale opening, citing what it called an "explosive response" from fans.

The new date, May 29, follows the four previously scheduled performances on May 21, 22, 25, and 26. All five concerts will be held at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province, a large outdoor venue that has hosted several major international touring acts in recent years.

A four-year gap

The shows mark Mars's first return to Korea since his 2023 run at Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul. The four-year interval is longer than his usual touring cycle, and Korean fans have been watching his schedule closely since he resumed international touring. Live Nation Korea has not released official capacity figures for the venue, but Goyang Stadium typically holds upward of 40,000 people for stadium-format concerts, meaning the five-night run represents a substantial commercial bet on his continued pulling power in the market.

Mars carries a catalogue that few touring artists can match for sheer chart weight: ten number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, spanning nearly two decades of hits. His profile in Korea was refreshed considerably by his 2024 collaboration with BLACKPINK's Rosé on APT., a track that went on to win Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. That song's success kept Mars visible in Korean pop-music discourse well into 2025, which may partly explain the speed with which presale inventory moved.

Anderson .Paak on the bill

Anderson .Paak, performing under his DJ alias DJ PeeWee, will appear as a guest across the run. Mars and .Paak have worked together for years under the Silk Sonic banner, releasing a collaborative album in 2021, so the pairing is a familiar one for fans of both artists rather than a surprise addition.

Tickets for the newly added May 29 date go on general sale starting noon on the 14th through the ticketing platform NOL.
