Dex Is Jacked, Shin Seul-ki Is Willowy: 'Single's Inferno 2' Pair's Wildly Different Glow-Ups
Dex and Shin Seul-ki, once the standout almost-couple on Netflix's 'Single's Inferno 2', have resurfaced on social media looking like they're living in completely different universes. Dex posted mirror selfies showing off noticeably bulkier arms and shoulders, while Shin Seul-ki shared breezy Japan travel photos with a slender silhouette. Both have stayed busy career-wise since the show aired in 2022.

Dex posted a mirror selfie on the 14th with zero caption, and fans did the rest. In the photo, the former UDT soldier-turned-entertainer stands in a white short-sleeve tee and jeans, one arm raised, and the bicep situation is hard to miss. His shoulders and upper body have filled out considerably, with forearm tattoos adding to what is a noticeably more intense physical presence than the one viewers remember from Single's Inferno 2.

The timing of the post is worth noting. About a month earlier, on the 18th of last month, Dex announced a hiatus from his YouTube channel Dex101, which has over 1.16 million subscribers. He cited a shift toward acting and project preparation as the reason. The muscle-forward update suggests whatever he's preparing for, he's not exactly coasting.
Meanwhile, Shin Seul-ki went in the opposite direction, aesthetically speaking. She recently shared photos from a trip to Japan, dressed in a white ruffled top and pink bottoms, smiling against a backdrop of trees and sunlight. The images drew attention for her slight frame and slim silhouette, a look that could not contrast more sharply with Dex's bulk-up era.

The two met on Netflix's Single's Inferno 2, which aired in 2022. Dex pursued Shin Seul-ki pretty openly throughout the season, and their pool-date moment got a lot of attention. They didn't end up choosing each other in the finale, but their dynamic became one of the most talked-about storylines from the show.
Since then, both have moved steadily into acting. Dex built a following through MBC's Born to Travel series and various variety programs before pivoting toward scripted roles. Shin Seul-ki, who studied piano at Seoul National University before transitioning to performing, has appeared in KBS2's Please Take Care of the Eagles 5, SBS's Returning to the Palace, and Universe Merry Me. She took home the Best Supporting Actress award in the romantic comedy mini-series category at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards for her work on Universe Merry Me.

Three years out from the show, the two are clearly on their own trajectories. The side-by-side social media posts were unintentional, but fans noticed anyway.
