'I Am Solo' (Na-neun Solo), the Korean dating reality series that has run on SBS Plus and ENA since 2021, began streaming exclusively on Netflix in more than 190 countries starting August 5, with episode 265 as the first globally available installment. The move brings a show that had no meaningful international distribution footprint into Netflix's full global catalog in a single step.

Netflix confirmed the arrangement on August 6, noting that the spinoff series Na-neun Solo, Geu Hu Sarangeun Gyesokdoenda (roughly, "I Am Solo: Love Continues") is also part of the global rollout. Subtitles in English and Spanish are available at launch, with additional languages planned.

The production team described the reasoning plainly: Netflix was judged the most appropriate channel for properly introducing the show to overseas markets. That framing reflects a shift that has become more common among domestic Korean producers, rather than waiting for an established international profile, they are using Netflix's distribution infrastructure as the initial export mechanism, not a secondary one.

With the Netflix exclusivity now in place, other OTT platforms that previously offered catch-up viewing of the show have wound down their supply. For I Am Solo, that cutoff landed at episode 264; for the spinoff, at episode 176. Live broadcasts on SBS Plus and ENA, as well as IPTV services, remain unchanged.

I Am Solo follows a group of single men and women gathered in one location to find a romantic partner, a format that has drawn consistent domestic audiences across more than 260 episodes. Whether that longevity translates to international appetite is the open question, Netflix's subtitle investment suggests the platform sees at least enough potential to find out.
