ENHYPEN Top the Billboard 200 for the First Time, Joining an Elite K-Pop List
ENHYPEN have topped the Billboard 200 for the first time with their eighth mini album THE SIN : BLISS, becoming only the sixth K-pop boy group in history to reach No. 1 on the chart. KATSEYE and Stray Kids also held spots in the top 10, while Jennie's collaboration with Tame Impala climbed to No. 6 on the Hot 100.
ENHYPEN reached the top of the Billboard 200 this week with their eighth mini album THE SIN : BLISS, earning the group's first-ever No. 1 on the main albums chart. The achievement puts them in a short line of K-pop boy groups that have pulled it off: BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER came before them, making ENHYPEN the sixth.
The Belift Lab group's debut on the chart predates this milestone by several years, so the No. 1 is a meaningful marker of how far their commercial reach has grown in the U.S. market. Early returns on THE SIN : BLISS suggest the ceiling here is still rising.
The rest of the top 10
Two other K-pop acts held ground inside the top 10. KATSEYE's WILD, which sat at No. 1 the previous week, dropped to No. 6. Stray Kids' THIS & THAT, which led the chart two weeks ago, settled at No. 8. Having three K-pop releases occupy three of the top 10 spots in consecutive weeks reflects a durability in chart performance that goes beyond first-week sales spikes.
Further down the Billboard 200, BTS' ARIRANG charted at No. 31. The Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters original soundtrack landed at No. 40. Cortes' GreenGreen came in at No. 112, and KATSEYE's Beautiful Chaos and SIS (Soft Is Strong) appeared at Nos. 135 and 185 respectively.
Hot 100 highlights
On the singles side, BLACKPINK's Jennie and Tame Impala's collaboration Dracula climbed two spots from the prior week to sit at No. 6 on the Hot 100, continuing a steady upward move.
KATSEYE songs from the WILD album also performed: pre-release track Animal reached No. 30 and title track Hootie Frutti landed at No. 49.
Dolly Parton's catalog returns
A significant portion of this week's chart movement belonged to country legend Dolly Parton, who passed away on August 25. Her best-of collection Ultimate Dolly Parton re-entered the Billboard 200 at No. 5, while four of her songs appeared on the Hot 100: Jolene at No. 16, alongside 9 to 5, I Will Always Love You, and Here You Come Again. The catalog surge is a familiar pattern after the loss of a major artist, and Parton's numbers underscore how deep her songs run in the American listening public.
