Six years after debuting, and after twice landing at number two on the Billboard 200, ENHYPEN finally claimed the top spot. Their eighth mini-album, THE SIN : BLISS, debuted at number one on the chart dated August 30, beating out Ella Langley at number two and Olivia Rodrigo at number three.

It's a result that carries real weight for ENGENEs who watched ROMANCE : UNTOLD and THE SIN : VANISH each peak at number two. The group has now placed ten albums on the Billboard 200 in total, with seven consecutive entries charting inside the top ten starting from MANIFESTO : DAY 1. The chart measures combined album units, which blend physical sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA). THE SIN : BLISS moved 98,000 units in the tracking week, with physical sales accounting for 92,000 of those, enough to also take the Top Album Sales chart at number one. SEA contributed around 6,000 units, and TEA was minimal.

The sixth K-pop boy group to do it

With this chart position, ENHYPEN become the sixth K-pop boy group to top the Billboard 200, following BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Among K-pop girl groups, BLACKPINK, NewJeans, TWICE, and KATSEYE have previously held the number one spot, as did the original soundtrack to the Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters.

A new chapter with a new lineup

THE SIN : BLISS carries extra significance beyond the chart milestone. It's the first ENHYPEN album released since the group reorganized from seven members to six, and their domestic audience responded immediately: the album crossed 2.02 million copies sold in South Korea by the 27th, according to Hanteo Chart, making it a double million-seller before the Billboard results were even in.

The album is the second entry in THE SIN series, which draws on the concept of temptation and transgression. Where the first entry introduced the premise, THE SIN : BLISS follows it to a conclusion, tracing the journey of two people who broke a taboo and fled, facing whatever waits at the end. The ten-track set includes title track Bloody Paradise and album cut Two Fools, among others.

Elsewhere on the chart

The August 30 Billboard 200 also saw Ultimate Dolly Parton, a best-of compilation, re-enter at number five following the country legend's passing on the 25th. KATSEYE's WILD, which had held the number one spot the previous week, dropped to number six with 55,000 units. Stray Kids' THIS & THAT landed at number eight with 48,000 units.
