Good Partner 2 Script Reading: Jang Nana and Kim Hye-yoon Team Up Against Park Hae-jin

Jang Nana returns as lawyer Cha Eun-kyung in Good Partner 2, and this time she has her own firm to defend. SBS released photos from the drama's script reading on the 19th, with Jang Nana, Kim Hye-yoon, Pyo Ji-hoon and Park Hae-jin all in attendance.

The new Friday-Saturday series (written by Choi Yu-na and directed by Seo Min-jung) is the sequel to 2024's Good Partner. It follows head lawyer Cha Eun-kyung and veteran associate Kang Hye-sung, played by Kim Hye-yoon, as they take on divorce cases with the kind of satisfying, cathartic wins the first season was known for.

A new firm, a new partner

Cha Eun-kyung has opened a firm called Law Firm Rebom and is about to start fresh. According to the production team, Jang Nana looked noticeably steadier in the room than she did in the first season.

Kim Hye-yoon plays Kang Hye-sung, a fifth-year lawyer with quick reflexes and a stubborn streak. Her bold enthusiasm is set to drive the womance with Cha Eun-kyung that the title billing promises.

Pyo Ji-hoon also returns as Jeon Eun-ho. He has left his old firm, Daejeong, to join Rebom, and in season two he serves as a kind of "human interpreter" who softens Cha Eun-kyung's blunt way of speaking.

A rival for the top spot

Park Hae-jin joins as Park Tae-su, head lawyer of rival firm Law Firm Taesu. He is a university classmate of Cha Eun-kyung, and the two will compete for the position of the number one name in divorce law.

The production team said season two "gets stronger," with lawyers using different strategies to resolve cases in their own ways. They added that new partners and a rival will make the relationships between characters more varied, and asked viewers to tune in.

Good Partner 2 premieres on November 20 at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
