Jennie Headlined Two European Festivals in 48 Hours, and K-Pop Had Never Done It Before
BLACKPINK's Jennie headlined Denmark's Roskilde Festival and Poland's Open'er Festival on consecutive days, becoming the first K-pop artist to headline two major European music festivals. Her label OA Entertainment confirmed the milestone on July 6, with more global festival bookings already lined up for 2026.

BLACKPINK's Jennie performed at Denmark's Roskilde Festival on July 3 and Poland's Open'er Festival on July 4, back-to-back headline sets, 48 hours apart. Her label OA Entertainment (Odd Atelier) confirmed on July 6 that she is the first K-pop artist to headline two major European music festivals.
The setlist across both shows pulled from her solo catalog: Mantra, ExtraL, Starlight, and like JENNIE all made the cut. No surprises, no deep cuts, a tight headline-ready package aimed squarely at festival crowds who may not know every B-side.

The festival side was complimentary, to put it mildly. Thomas Søndergby Jepsen, Roskilde's music director, said Jennie's inclusion "reinforced Roskilde's identity as a festival that reflects current trends while moving toward the future." Open'er's organizers called her "one of the most influential female artists of this era." Festival bookers don't usually talk like that unless they paid accordingly.
The broader context matters here. Jennie's collaboration with Tame Impala, Dracula, reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, the kind of chart placement that gets you taken seriously by European festival programmers who have never once cared about K-pop group rankings. That crossover credibility is doing real work.

OA Entertainment's booking calendar doesn't slow down from here. Jennie is already confirmed for Spain's Mad Cool Festival 2026, Lollapalooza Chicago, and Summer Sonic Japan 2026. The European run was not a one-off test, it looks more like the opening stretch of a full global festival circuit.
For K-pop as a genre, the Roskilde and Open'er slots carry a specific weight. Both festivals draw predominantly Western rock and pop audiences with little built-in K-pop affinity. Headlining them, not performing, headlining, is a different kind of statement than selling out an arena tour to a fanbase that already showed up.
