TEMPEST are done after four years. YH Entertainment announced the group is ending activities, with Hyuk enlisting on the 26th and LEW's exclusive contract expiring on November 1, 2026.

The agency said the decision came "after long and careful discussion with the members," and that each member will now focus on individual work. It did not frame the split as a hiatus.

Who is staying, who is leaving

The split in outcomes is the real news here. Four of the six members have a future with the company, and two do not.

Hyuk enlists on October 26 to begin his mandatory military service. YH said there will be no official event on the day, and asked fans not to visit the site, since other enlistees and their families will be there. It asked for warm support so he can finish his service in good health.

LEW's contract ends on November 1. The agency thanked him and asked fans to support whatever he does next. It gave no details on those plans.

Hanbin, Hyungseop, Eunchan and Taerae stay with YH, which said it will keep providing the support they need to show "new sides" of themselves through solo activities. The statement did not say what form that will take.

A short run

TEMPEST debuted in March 2022 with the mini-album It's ME, It's WE. The lineup included Hyungseop and LEW from Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2, and Hanbin from I-LAND. Member Hwarang left in March 2024, and the group continued as a six-piece until now.

YH Entertainment's wording says group activities are being "halted" rather than formally dissolved, though the headline fact is the same: no more TEMPEST releases or schedules are on the table. Fans clocked that the statement only commits to individual support, not a reunion.
