NANA Tells Self-Styled Fans She Owes No Apology After TOP Dating Backlash
NANA posted a long message on the 5th calling out self-described fans who flooded her with malicious comments after she confirmed dating TOP. She says her love life is private and not hers to apologize for.

NANA confirmed her relationship with TOP within one hour of the dating report, and on the 5th she turned on the backlash with a long social media post. Her question to the self-described fans leaving malicious comments: "What great wrong have I committed?"
The actress and singer said she has tried to understand the reaction and can't. "Have you suffered any harm because of me? Have I caused any moral controversy?" she wrote.

Her case: private life, not an apology
NANA opened by pointing to her 17 years in the industry. She said she has worked sincerely through all of it, and that even in moments when she felt emotionally shaky, she never treated her responsibilities carelessly. She thanked the fans who stayed through busy stretches and quiet gaps alike.
Then she got to the point. The post was aimed at people who call themselves fans while writing deliberately hostile comments that ignore her choices and freedom. She urged them to take a cold look at what they actually want from a celebrity, and from a person named NANA.
On the relationship itself, she was firm. The romance and the process of acknowledging it are her private life, she wrote, and not something she believes she should apologize for. What she does regret, she said, is that people she doesn't consider real fans were exposed to criticism and hurt they didn't need to see or feel.

A plea for the fans who stayed
She asked the critics not to hurt the fans who love and respect her as a human being beyond the celebrity frame. "Please, stop causing any further harm," she wrote. She apologized to the fans quietly enduring all this, promised to remember every word of support, and vowed to repay them with good work.
The background: reports last month said NANA and TOP (Choi Seung-hyun) met through a music video shoot and became a couple around June. They confirmed it within an hour of the report, and NANA told fans on a fan communication platform that she would date in a way that is "pretty and healthy."
The backlash did not die down after that. Her long post is the first time she has answered it head-on.

A celebrity with this much experience should understand how fans feel. Going to the very place where fans threw her boyfriend a birthday party is hard to imagine from someone who gets it.

No offense, and I'm not trying to criticize, but honestly I'm grateful. I learned that even TOP can get women.

They're adults in love. Why are people leaving hate comments? Just leave them alone.
