T.O.P and Nana Have Been Dating for 5 Months After His Music Video Shoot
BIGBANG's T.O.P and former After School member Nana are officially dating, both agencies confirmed on October 2. The two met on the set of T.O.P's solo album music video earlier this year and became a couple in June.

Both agencies confirmed on October 2 what fans had been piecing together since the music video dropped: BIGBANG's T.O.P (real name Choi Seung-hyun, 39) and actress Nana (real name Im Jin-ah, 35) have been in a relationship since June, roughly five months and counting.
T.O.P's agency TOPSPOT Pictures said the two "met for the first time through the music video shoot and grew closer afterward, developing a romantic relationship around June." Nana's agency Sublime confirmed the same timeline, adding that the pair are "continuing a good relationship." Nana later addressed fans directly through the messaging platform Bubble, writing that she would "date in a beautiful and healthy way."

How it started
The music video in question is for "Wanjeon Michyeosseo" (roughly, Completely Crazy!), the title track from T.O.P's debut solo studio album Dajungkwanjeom (Multiple Perspectives), released in April. T.O.P personally reached out to Nana to star in the video, and the two filmed scenes together dancing, set against visuals heavy on color and cinematic texture. It was the kind of collaboration that leaves room to keep talking afterward.

They did. In April, Nana appeared again as a guest in a YouTube promotional video for the album, where the two listened to tracks together. People close to the couple told reporters at the time that the formal vibe of that early content masked how quickly things were actually developing: "They had a lot in common, kept in contact after that, and as far as we know, started dating properly around June."

Off-camera, the relationship apparently looked deliberately low-key. According to reports, the two have been meeting regularly near Nana's home in Achiul Village, Guri City, Gyeonggi Province, taking taxis, stopping at convenience stores, and mostly not trying very hard to hide. T.O.P wore a cap but no mask; Nana covered just the lower half of her face. They were spotted on consecutive days at the end of September and the start of October.

Two parallel careers, a lot of shared ground
It is not hard to see what drew them together beyond the shoot. Both are second-generation K-pop idols who built their names in the early 2010s and then, with varying degrees of difficulty, found second lives as actors. T.O.P debuted with BIGBANG in 2006, paused his career after a cannabis conviction in 2017, and returned in late 2024 through Squid Game 2 on Netflix. His April solo album, which he co-produced across all 11 tracks, marked a full return to music as well, followed by an Asia tour spanning six stops.

Nana debuted with After School in 2009 and later performed with the unit Orange Caramel. She began transitioning to acting in 2016 with the tvN drama Good Wife and has since taken on roles in Glitch, Mask Girl, All of Us Are Dead and The Climax. Her most recent project, the Netflix series Scandal, dropped last month. People close to both have noted that their career arcs, the idol years, the industry pressures, the reinvention as actors, have given them an understanding of each other's experience that would be hard to explain to someone from outside it.
For T.O.P in particular, this moment carries some weight: a confirmed relationship, a solo tour, a critically noticed return. It has been a busy reentry.
