SEVENTEEN's 'Always Yours' Hits One Million Sales: A K-Pop Milestone
SEVENTEEN has achieved a remarkable milestone by garnering their fourth 'Million' certification for their album Always Yours. The group continues to set records within the K-pop landscape, showcasing their significant influence in Japan.

SEVENTEEN has officially received the 'Million' certification from the Japan Record Association for their best album, Always Yours, which has surpassed cumulative shipments of 1 million copies as of last month. This achievement marks their fourth 'Million' certification, following earlier accolades for their debut EP DREAM, mini album FML, and SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN. Notably, this record establishes SEVENTEEN as the K-pop artist with the highest number of 'Million' certifications to date.

In a statement, the group expressed gratitude for this honor, saying, "We are thankful and honored to receive such joyful news again after last month's certification for SEVENTEEN'S HEAVEN. We will continue to show diverse activities, so please give us your warm support."
The Japan Record Association awards certifications based on cumulative shipments, categorizing them into several levels: Gold for over 100,000 copies, Platinum for 250,000, Double Platinum for 500,000, Triple Platinum for 750,000, and Million for over 1 million copies sold.
In addition to SEVENTEEN's latest recognition, other K-pop groups have also achieved significant milestones. IVE’s mini album LUCID DREAM, ATEEZ’s single BAD, and NCT WISH’s single YO-I-DON!/BOY MEETS GIRL have all received 'Platinum' certifications. Meanwhile, aespa’s mini album KISS N TELL, I-LAND’s single I Got Your Back, and the localized group Niziu’s first best album Portfolio achieved 'Gold' certifications.
This surge in certifications illustrates the growing popularity of K-pop in Japan, with SEVENTEEN at the forefront of this expansion. Their continued success is expected to influence the market further as they embark on various activities, including individual projects from members. Look out for SEVENTEEN's next moves as they maintain their strong presence in the industry.
