8 Years In, BIGBANG's Taeyang Still Gets 'Sweet Eyes' for Min Hyo-rin

Multiple fans have come forward with sightings of BIGBANG's Taeyang spending unhurried time with his wife, actress Min Hyo-rin, even as he navigates a packed schedule following a recent album release. The accounts, posted across online communities and social media, add up to a consistent portrait of a husband who makes the time.

One witness wrote that they were having lunch with friends at a restaurant in Hannam-dong when they noticed the couple sharing a private room meal. "He's probably slammed with the album out, but there he was, on a restaurant date with his wife," the post read. "The way he looked at her was completely sweet. What is he even made of."

Other fans chimed in with their own run-ins. One shared a secondhand account from an acquaintance who spotted Taeyang at a café with Min Hyo-rin and their son the day after a Goyang concert wrapped. Someone else said they see the pair regularly at Namsan Park and that the two always look genuinely at ease with each other. A few more accounts noted that when their child was younger, Taeyang was a regular at local kids' cafés too.

What He Says at Home

The picture these fans are drawing matches what Taeyang has said about himself. Last month, he appeared on the YouTube channel DdeunDdeun and was asked to describe a typical day. His answer was short: "It's very simple. Outside of working in the studio, I'm fully devoted to family. I've always been a homebody. I do almost everything at home."

Fellow BIGBANG member Daesung, who appeared on the same episode, backed him up without missing a beat. "He's like that because of parenting," Daesung said.

Taeyang married Min Hyo-rin in 2018, and the couple welcomed a son in 2021. Eight years into the marriage, the fan sightings suggest the dynamic he describes on camera holds up in the real world too, which in the K-pop industry, is rarer than it sounds.
